Huskies Win in the Rain Over Shippensburg

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team defeated the Shippensburg Lady Raiders, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

The teams played a scoreless first half with the Lady Raiders holding a 7-3 edge in shot attempts. The scoreless dual was finally broken with six minutes left to play when the Huskies' Kelly Modes (Langhorne/Neshaminy) scored unassisted.

Goalkeeper Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) had seven saves for Bloomsburg.

The Huskies move to 2-0 on the season and will host Concord on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
